Back to School in 2020 needed some sweetening up!
The dogs of All Paws Retreat are headed back to school for 2020! With everything that has happened this year, I wanted to sweeten things up.
What better way to start your school year than donuts!?

A world of revolution is happening right in front of us. History is happening.
Pandemics, Protests, Pride.
June has it all.
Many people are fighting for equality on a daily basis and I didn’t know what i could do to be helpful. Casie, the owner of All Paws Retreat, and I decided to do a fundraiser.
We had 67 Dogs participate.

All Paws Retreat is a Daycare and Boarding facility in Franklinton, Ohio. I started working with them last year doing Back to School Portraits of their pups. The photos were a hit.
Casie, the owner, has allowed me to spread my creative wings with her pups and after a few more sessions, we decided in January to sit down and plan our calendar of the year of sessions. We painstakingly planned out every date and theme.
Little did we know what the next couple of months would hold.
Two days prior to the Stay at Home order, Casie and her fiancé and I even had gone out and done their engagement photos.
So here we 2 months later and working with face masks, and gloves, and hand sanitizer everywhere. Our hands are dry and flaking from soap and alcohol, but we are back to work on a limited capacity.
I stepped into the daycare full of anxiety but loaded with pink backdrop and flowers galore.
We wanted to do SOMETHING special to honor the Moms in the lives of the dogs, and what better than pretty pink flowery and bow tie laden doggie?
I adored this session so much. It turned out dainty, and sweet and beautiful.

Kathleen, a southern bride, was looking for something that isn’t a common request in Ohio. She wanted Bridal Portraits to hang up at her reception of the wedding! This is apparently a southern tradition, something new to me and I was excited to take these photos for her.
We picked out the Scioto Mile because of its lovely scenery, and many options for backdrops.
To my surprise, Kathleen’s sister and Mom flew in ALL THE WAY FROM TEXAS to help us out!
We met at my studio, in Franklinton, and got her in her wedding gown and then went to play all over town.
Kathleen was so easy and fun to work with, and I loved how supportive her family was and we had a great time!

Casie, the owner at All Paws Retreat, wanted to give her clients a gift for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had a fun photoshoot of dogs eating PUP-Kin Pie that I made (pupper safe ingredients!)
It was a seriously fun afternoon as we watched them each devour their tasty treat.

One year ago, I joined one of my best friends in her labor room alongside her husband. I’ve been a part of many births, but being there for one of your closest friends is truly special.
I have also had a lucky job of being a Nanny for Chase, as well as his life photographer. I have watched him as he has learned to roll over, try out letters, teethed, and tried out new foods. He has learned that dogs are amazing and that he loves having a squad of dog to crawl after at full speed.
Basically, life for Chase is good.
Chase’s parents are both Journalists for prominent newspapers here in Ohio and Sports are a big part of their jobs.
Chase’s dad follows the Cincinnati Reds all season, for work and enjoys watching it as well, so what better way to celebrate his first birthday but with a baseball-themed Cake Smash session.
