Let the Chase begin!
Let the Chase begin! The birth of a new photographer.
Barbara Perenic (Columbus Dispatch) and David Jablonski (Dayton Daily News) are photojournalists. When they found out they were becoming parents, Barbara realized that even she wasn’t immune to her desire to be reported on. She has seen the nitty gritty in life, as well as the life-affirming stories out there in the world. She knew that she wanted her little one to be documented on his journey into life as well.
Barbara is a long time friend, asked if I would be a part of this journey. I felt so honored that she trusted me to be a part of such an intimate event.
Chase came into this world slowly and methodically, almost 32 hours of labor for his anxious mom and dad. Barbara, being a triathlete was no stranger to going the distance, but even this was something that came as a surprise to her. She knew he would be worth it though. With David by her side, and helping during the labor process. At one point, David took hold of a sheet at one end and tugged on it while Barbara tugged at the other end.
After many exhausting pushes, Chase clearly needed some coaxing, so the OB came in to have a conversation with him, in utero. She said all the right words, for in the wee early morning Chase made his first appearance.
David cried
Barb cried.
I cried.

Noelle and Seth, like Me, are a little bit nerdy. We like science, and space, and technology. Malachi’s nursery is space themed. Since Seth and Noelle made the trip up to see me, we decided were going to make it worthwhile. It only made sense that we would do a Spaceship Cake Smash while they were here too!
Noelle and I spent many days discussing the type of photos they wanted, and what they would be bringing with them. One thing she wanted was a photo with his Stuffies. His Elephant and Fox are among his favorites.

Family Session at Garden of Constants
Liam is almost three years old and has welcomed his new little sister Nora into the world just a few short months ago! Shari and Josh suggested the Garden of Constants at The Ohio State University
Josh, the cool, calm thoughtful Dad, Shari, the sweetest kindest soul you’ll meet, and Liam, a curious little soul with a glimmer of mischief always in those curls, and Baby Nora riding comfortably along in the sling or her Momma’s arms.
Charlotte, 9 Days old
Charlotte, and her parents and grandparents piled into the studio for our session with this sweet girl. She wanted to watch everything and not sleep. She didnt really fuss much, just wanted to watch all of us. After a bit and watching her fighting sleep, we decided to take a walk around the building and give the full the full 400WestRich Tour. She saw the The Dinin’ Hall, Mikeys Movement Activites, and then finally started to fall asleep, so we headed back to my studio.
Aileen
Last year i photographed Matt and Tiffanys engagement, and wedding photos.
This adorable couple, who’s love is so infections always made me smile. How could you not? They laugh so easily together and the comfort between the two of them, relaxes you into wanting to know them forever.
Soon after they were married, They announced the upcoming arrival of thier first child, Aileen. A few weeks ago, we dicussed doing photos for Miss Aileen.
What they surprised me with as they were unpacking her clothes was a cute tshirt that looked a little big, it took me a moment to realize why they had bought it. They were letting me in on thier little secret.
